Once upon a time there was a man named Orrin Porter Rockwell.  Not a legend. Not a folklore.  But a true figure of American History and the Wild West.  Bodyguard of Latter Day Saint Mormon Church founder Joseph Smith and later Brigham Young, Porter was devoted to protect these men, the church, and the Utah territory.


Porter was labeled as “Son of Thunder”, “The Destroying Angel of Mormon-dom”, “Old Port” and depicted in many books, movies, and television shows creating a legacy that inspired many including Buffalo Bill.

Porter's Rye Whiskey

After the success of Porter's (flavor) Whiskeys, the crying came from consumers for a straight whiskey. 


A 95/5 blend of rye & barley that has been aging in heavy charred, new oak barrels for over three years at 111 proof. It is then blended down to 90 proof with the spring water from the Wasatch Mountains in the Ogden Valley, help create this limited production straight rye whiskey.

Legend has it that Porter's mom gave him a peanut butter sandwich every day (no whiskey added).

In 2017 Ogden’s Own began making Madam Pattirini Gin influenced by one of the more interesting and unknown figures of the West. Utah’s always full of surprises and has been a pretty wild place!”
